Job description
The Electrotechnician reports hierarchically and functionally to the Director of Operations of Transport Desgagnés inc. Requests for support or services from the Electrotechnician are processed by the Maintenance department, which determines the latter’s assignments with the authorization of the Director of Operations of Transport Desgagnés inc. Once assigned to a task, he then works under the authority of the Superintendent of Ships concerned. The Electrotechnician carries out various technical troubleshooting work (“troubleshooting”), repair and maintenance, both electrical and electronic, on ships and on shore installations.
Required Skills
- DEC in electrical engineering or equivalent;
- 3 years of experience in electricity and/or electronics;
- Knowledge of reading electrical and electronic plans;
- High availability and willingness to travel;
- Knowledge of computer systems and ability to write reports;
- Proficiency in English (working language).
