Navigation Desgagnés inc. (NDI) markets and charters vessels for the transport of general cargo and dry bulk and meets the specific needs of heavy industry, mining and manufacturing, and grain producers. Navigation Desgagnés charters ships serving the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes system, the Maritimes and the US east coast.
NDI also ensures the marketing and management of commercial operations of multi-purpose cargo ships internationally, more particularly in winter for some of the vessels chartered and marketed by Desgagnés Transarctik as part of the maritime service to the Canadian Arctic.
Reporting to NDI’s Main Vessel Operator, the Vessel Coordinator participates, directly or indirectly through his support, in the planning, coordination, supervision and monitoring of commercial operations carried out by cargo vessels. Dedicated to the maritime transport of solid bulk and general cargo for NDI customers, both in Canada and internationally, in compliance with internal and external party charters, Desgagnés procedures and applicable regulations. As part of his duties, the Vessel Coordinator develops and maintains good business relations with the multiple internal and external stakeholders, in the interests of NDI but also of Desgagnés as a whole.
