As an Accounting Analyst, you’ll play a key role in monitoring and optimizing costs, preparing financial statements and supporting management in their business decisions.

 

You’ll play a key role in the monthly closing of financial statements, budget variance analysis and updating tracking files.

Specifically, the Accounting Analyst’s main responsibilities are to:

 

        • Compile and analyze financial data and produce periodic management reports to help senior management assess performance and make decisions
        • Help produce internal financial statements on a regular basis
        • Analyze actual results and explain variances from budget
        • Prepare and enter accounting entries
        • Reconcile accounts
        • Collaborate in the year-end closing process and support the controller during the annual business unit audit
        • Participate in the business unit budget process
        • Support the implementation of the new budgeting and integrated management software package
        • Ensure the application and maintenance of established administrative policies and procedures
        • Provide technical support to internal customers for cost analysis, benchmarking and reporting purposes
        • Carry out all other tasks related to its field of expertise

Required Skills

        • University degree and recognized accounting designation (CPA) or experience similar to the duties of the position
        • At least 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
        • Practical experience in accounting cycle management, budget management and management accounting
        • Very good knowledge of spoken and written French
        • English: A functional level of English, sufficient to respond to emails, answer phone calls, and prepare files, is required
        • Knowledge and mastery of the Office 365 suite
        • Excellent analytical skills
        • Autonomy, thoroughness and attention to detail
