Job description

Desgagnés is embarking on a major information systems and technology transformation program (“Program”). This Program is planned to take place over the next five years. As part of the implementation of a new maritime software package, Desgagnés wishes to use the services of a business architect specializing in the maritime field.

The business architect provides the necessary business expertise to the entire maritime software implementation project team as well as to the commercial business units in order to meet their needs and optimize the solution. travel management.

The incumbent works closely with managers of both maritime operations and commercial business units.

More specifically, he will be responsible for:

  • Advise and support the Product Owner in stating the business requirements specific to each commercial business unit;
  • Exerts a functional linkage with stakeholders from commercial business units and ensures the consistency of the work with the stated business needs;
  • Reviews and approves the deliverables related to the configuration of the software package;
  • Recommends changes to the processes in place not only for the purposes of effectiveness and efficiency but also to comply as much as possible with the operation prescribed by the chosen software package, without distorting the pricing structure of the contracts in force;
  • Participate in the development of the following deliverables:
  • Business needs
  • Review of business processes
  • Training strategy
  • Test strategy
  • Deployment strategy
  • Continuous improvement
  • Ensures and coordinates the appropriate training of his colleagues in the new solutions deployed and provides them with the necessary support after implementation.

Required Skills

  • Undergraduate university degree as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar functions;
  • Experience in the maritime field
  • Relevant experience in the field of logistics;
  • Experience in the deployment of an ERP type software package;
  • Innate sense of responsibility, commitment and professionalism;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Creativity and ability to offer innovative solutions;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite software.
