Required Skills
- First Mate Certificate of Competency – under the Canada Shipping Act
- Certificate of Competency: Advanced Training in Tanker Cargo Operations, under the Canada Shipping Act
- Minimum 6 months seagoing time in the position of First Officer on tanker vessels
- Certificate of Proficiency: Advanced training for chemical tanker cargo operations (an asset)
- Certificate of proficiency in advanced training for personnel on ships operating in polar waters (an asset)
