At Desgagnés Transarctik Inc., we’re looking for a rigorous methodical person who knows how to juggle efficiency and precision. You’ll be at the heart of operations, ensuring that every shipment is accurately recorded, from the moment it’s booked to the moment it’s shipped.

 

Your responsibilities

 

        • Enter and validate cargo information in our WebArctik system.
        • Monitor reservations and shipments to ensure optimum flow.
        • Generate essential reports to ensure coordination of marine operations.
        • Work with a dynamic team where rigor and mutual support make all the difference.

Specifically, the Data Entry Clerk’s main responsibilities are to:

 

        • Enter information on reservations and goods receipt/shipping documents into the cargo management system, check and file acknowledgements of receipt (provisional receipts and reservations)
        • Produce periodic inventory and other reports
        • Track parcels (pointing and unpinning) according to different change criteria
        • Produce all vessel change reports
        • Associate provisional receipts with manifests, by customers, when sending invoices
        • Filing of documents produced for the data entry department
        • Use Office Suite tools for related tasks
        • All other tasks relating to the smooth running of the data entry department

 

Working conditions

 

        • Permanent seasonal position (March and December)
        • 40-hour daytime week, Monday to Friday
        • Paid overtime

Required Skills

        • High school diploma and/or relevant experience
        • Good command of spoken and written French and English

        • Ability to work as part of a team and in close collaboration with colleagues and supervisor
        • Availability for overtime during the service season
