Job description

Join the Arctic adventure!

At Desgagnés Transarctik Inc., we operate well beyond the Canadian Arctic: we cultivate a work environment where safety, respect for the environment and efficiency guide our every action.

As an OHS and Environment Advisor, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safety of our teams and the protection of our working environments, whether on the docks, on board our ships or in our northern operations.

What you will do

You will be called upon to carry out field inspections and recommend appropriate preventive actions. You will participate in incident investigations, ensuring rigorous follow-up on corrective measures implemented.

In support of the teams, you will actively contribute to training and coaching in health, safety and the environment. Your role will also include participating in audits, analyzing operational risks and supporting environmental initiatives.

Finally, your presence will be essential in the ports of Quebec and Arctic Canada, where you will play a key role in prevention and operational support.

What we are looking for

A passionate and dynamic professional, capable of combining administrative rigor with an active presence in the field.

You have a degree in health and safety (or equivalent), with at least 3 years’ experience in OHS prevention, ideally in federally, provincially regulated or unionized environments.

You are recognized for your inspirational leadership, practicality and ability to manage priorities. You are bilingual (French and English) and willing to travel to various ports in Quebec and the Canadian Arctic.

Why join Desgagnés Transarctik Inc.

It’s much more than a job. It’s an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the safety and protection of exceptional operating environments, within a caring company proud of its Quebec roots and northern expertise.
